Yes so different to the US where the listing and selling side is usually handled by 2 different agents and it is the norm to split commission within a MLS dominated environment. I feel the current scenario in South Africa where the listing and selling side is normally done by one agent and sole mandates are punted as the preferred way to sell a home, can and should be challenged.

If the ‘super agents’ drive higher sales volumes, they should technically be able to lower commissions too.
